2013 In Photos

Reggie Leonard II

Typically, I tend not to share my end of the year highlights from the previous year, but I realized that having a summary of my year couldn't hurt. Thinking back on my year, I've had some pretty cool experiences and opportunities. Though this isn't exhaustive, here are some of my highlights from 2013:

My family is great. My dad, mom, and brother, along with my niece and nephew are displayed in these photos.

I met amazing people this year, and strengthened already established friendships. There was an Instagram follow turned real-life friendship w/ Alyssa, there were exceptionally cool Brazilian foreign exchange students (Luiz and Victor), then there were amazing new friends in Austria (Marjun, Caleb and Britney), and lasting friendships portrayed in the other photos. This year, I became a better person because of these people.

This past year was certainly a year of new things. I traveled to Puerto Rico and to Europe (Vienna, Bratislava, and Prague) on vacation, got into hiking and backyard bonfires, bought a bike, ran my first 5K, attended my first A Capella competition, salsa danced, went to Catalyst 2013, and enjoyed numerous concerts throughout the year. I almost forgot to mention participating in a couple of Instagram meetups, joining a Kickball through YPCV, and seeing the amazing poets of The Strivers Row.

These few photos are hardly an accurate representation of the amazing meals and cultural cuisines that graced my lips throughout 2013. Needless to say, my taste buds traveled more than the rest of my body. I'm expecting to receive even more stamps on my food passport in 2014!

Looking back, I had a pretty exciting year. There were more friends, experiences, road trips, and food that are regretfully not included in this post. Overall, 2013 was great, and I'm looking forward to taking advantage of even more in 2014.

Since I'll be turning 29 soon, this is the last year that I'll be able to say, "When I was in my 20's, I..." Challenge accepted. Stay tuned.
