About Me
Connector | Aesthete | Community Builder | Winemaker?
In a world where connections create opportunities, I've woven a tapestry of experiences that span career development, community building, and the vibrant Virginia wine scene. My professional journey, rooted in a deep belief in the power of community, began in 2010 in the dynamic field of career development. In 2015 I transitioned into playing a pivotal role in the creation and growth of the University of Virginia's School of Data Science, I've always been at the forefront of nurturing talent and innovation. Co-Founding the Charlottesville Data Science Meetup (and associated Applied Machine Learning Conference) and being invited to contribute to diverse non-profit boards, I've strived to blend technology, culture, and human connections in meaningful ways.
Parallel to my professional path, I've passionately explored the world of wine, alongside so many amazing people. I serve as the Co-Founder of the Oenoverse (an initiative to increase opportunity and access in and through Virginia wine, alongside my friend, Tracey Love), a regular contributor/writer for the Wine Guild, a guest curator at various local shops, and have been named to the VinePair Advocate of the Year (where I was also dubbed the Virginia Wine Hype Man). In 2025, I was featured in both print and digital pieces in the NYT and Bon Appetit.
Charlottesville, Virginia is where I call home.
I spend a lot of time exploring culture through food and beverage. An invitation for thoughtfully crafted wine (or anything, really), or a new restaurant opening will immediately find you in my best graces.
P.S. I’m making wine with my buddy Lance Lemon. We’re calling our thing, “The Parallax Project.” The short of it is that we’re making a white wine and a red wine out of the same grapes, illustrating that when you look at the same thing from a different perspective, you get a completely different outcome. A “parallax” effect, if you will. Ask me about it :)
💐 I hope your flowers bloom 💐
